CabinTruth.org is a record of this journey.

I believe we're all traveling a journey from birth to death in our quest to find answers. We aren't the same people we were yesterday. Life gives us experiences, experiences give us perspective, and if we're willing to learn, they can give us wisdom.

That means I may change my mind, too. As I continue to learn and grow, I will do my best to keep this site honest and current. I'm not claiming to have everything figured out.

I'm still searching ....

A Word About Opinions

The content on CabinTruth.org reflects my personal opinions, beliefs, experiences, and understanding at the time I share them.

You may agree with me, disagree with me, or even be offended by something I say. That's your choice. I sincerely believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity and love—regardless of race, color, sexuality, background, or creed.

There are people who have frustrated, disappointed, and hurt me deeply.....but I still choose to love them.  Love is a choice.

If something on this site challenges you, I ask only that you consider that it comes from a place of sincerity and love—not hatred.

I'm willing to be misunderstood, criticized, rejected, or ridiculed if something I've learned can help another person find hope, truth, purpose, or a closer relationship with God.

This is CabinTruth ....

- These are the things I've learned.
- These are the questions I've asked.
- These are the answers I've  found.

And the journey isn't over.........

This is a personal journey of faith, reflection, and discovery.

I built this website as a place to document what I believe, what I have learned, and the questions I continue to wrestle with. In many ways, it is a video blog—a record of my search for truth, purpose, and a deeper understanding of God and His Word.

In 2024, my life changed dramatically. I found myself living in a secluded,  unfinished,
un-insulated, cabin beside a river in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. I had never
experienced the level of solitude and silence that was in store for me. Then came my
first brutal Northwoods winter, where my survival skills were put to the test and there
were times I wondered if I would make it through it all physically or mentally.

For nearly two years, I experienced a profound period of loneliness, loss, and emotional struggle. I felt stripped down to almost nothing and abandoned by people I believed loved me most.

But in that wilderness, something changed.

I began to realize I was not focusing my life on God and he sent me into this wilderness as a course correction.

In the quiet, I began searching His Word for answers. I had questions, and scripture began to remind me of how the Lord views life, suffering, relationships, forgiveness, purpose, faith, and myself.  It's not our way....it's HIS way.
